Katikies Santorini

Updated 2026Oia, on the caldera cliff at the northern tip of the island

The original white-on-white Katikies, draped down the Oia cliff with infinity pools that spill toward the deep-blue caldera. Arched cave suites, some with private bathtubs framing the sea, make it one of the most photographed luxury hotels on the island. It is close to adults-only without quite being it: the hotel welcomes children over 13 and points families with younger ones to its sister property, Katikies Garden, in Fira. The hotel is spread across houses rather than one block, Pelagos, which it describes as suspended on the cliffs in the middle of Oia, and Gea, at the quieter, more welcoming edge of the village. All of it built into the caldera. Private pools and jetted tubs come with the suites, and the spa does a range of body and facial treatments. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out until 11am.

White Cycladic suites with private plunge pools along a flower-lined lane at Anastasia Princess in Perissa, Santorini
Luxury

Anastasia Princess Luxury Beach Residence

An adults-only residence of white Cycladic suites, many with their own plunge pool set on a private terrace, arranged along flower-lined lanes under the great rock of Mesa Vouno. Turquoise-shuttered rooms and a calm, grown-up feel make it one of the more polished stays near the black sand. The property describes itself as an adults-only, family-owned retreat sitting on Perissa's black sandy beach with direct access to its own private section of the sand. Suites are all doubles with a king bed: superior studios at 25 m², deluxe suites and deluxe private jacuzzi suites at 35 m², and 40 m² beachfront plunge-pool suites. There are two pool areas, a beach lounge pouring cocktails and light snacks, and a wellness centre with a gym and massage treatments.

The white cliffside terraces and infinity pool of Grace Hotel Santorini over the caldera at sunset in Imerovigli
Luxury

Grace Hotel Santorini, Auberge Resorts Collection

A cascade of white cubes tumbling down the Imerovigli cliff to an infinity pool that hangs over the caldera, with the volcano and the sunset filling the view. Minimalist grey-and-white suites and a sunset terrace make it one of the island's most polished caldera stays. A splurge alternative to the Perissa beach. Accommodation runs from deluxe rooms through suites and infinity suites to a standalone villa, with heated plunge pools opening onto the caldera view. The hotel describes itself as a clifftop retreat in Imerovigli, and dining is at Varoulko Santorini, which it bills as a Michelin-awarded restaurant led by chef Lefteris Lazarou.

A plunge pool and umbrella on a white terrace at Astra Suites looking over the caldera in Imerovigli, Santorini
Luxury

Astra Suites

A whitewashed village of suites stepping down the Imerovigli cliff, with infinity and plunge pools looking straight out over the volcano and the caldera. Cool white-and-pink cave rooms and quiet terraces make it a grown-up, view-first stay high above the water. The range is unusually wide for a caldera hotel: studios and classic, premier and senior junior suites, then luxury categories with a jetted tub indoors or out, a pool suite and an infinity pool suite, and two private villas. The hotel describes itself as perched above the Aegean with an unobstructed view of the caldera, and it runs the Five Senses Restaurant, a pool bar and Astra Wellness alongside its cliff-side infinity pool.
