Fratzeskos Fish Tavern

A long-running fish tavern right on the Perissa seafront, where the tables sit under thatched shade a few steps from the black sand. The kitchen keeps it simple and Greek, grilled fish and octopus, fried calamari, tomato fritters and a cold carafe of white. The tavern says its fish and seafood come in directly from its own boat, poured alongside local Santorini wines, and describes its own cooking as traditional Greek meeting more modern gastronomy. It also runs umbrellas and loungers on the beach in front, so a swim and a long lunch fold into the same afternoon.
