The Cave of Nikolas

A characterful seafood taverna right on the water at Akrotiri, near the island's southwest tip and the archaeological site, a drive round the bay from Perissa. Started decades ago by Uncle Nikolas out of an old boat shelter, it works with the day's catch — the menu shifts with what the fishermen bring in — for fresh fish, lobster pasta and seafood in a stone-walled dining room.
